This button does not reset the module to factory settings. Instead, it wipes out the module's calibration data entirely, often bricking the component or requiring an advanced firmware reinstall. To reset a module safely, simply VO code it using your original vehicle order.

Navigate to the left sidebar and select -> Coding .

Code modules individually (e.g., just the HU_ENTRYNAV or the REM). Mass-coding increases the likelihood of a timeout or communication drop. esys 3.35.3

A progress bar will run. Once completed, a report window will appear showing 0 Errors .

Scroll down the populated list to locate the module you wish to modify. For iDrive screen tweaks, look for , HU_NBT_EVO , or HU_MGU . Click the plus sign to expand the module folder. This button does not reset the module to factory settings

For F15 X5: Headunit (HU_NBT) → 3001 → LEGAL_DISCLAIMER → change from ld_off to ld_on . Immediately restarts iDrive without errors.
